Baja Challenge 2014 was another great Success!

At Pacific Coast Commercial, we pride ourselves in giving back to the community, and with our involvement in the Annual Baja Challenge we are able to assist those less fortunate in a big way.

The Baja Challenge is the San Diego County Commercial Association of Realtors and the San Diego Chapter of NAIOP, along with Project Mercy, a non-profit organization, coordinating the construction of small houses in the poorer area of (Tijuana) Colonia Sonora, just south of Otay Mesa.

In addition to our fundraising for the building materials, the principals, staff and friends of Pacific Coast Commercial traveled to Tijuana on Saturday, September 27th to build the house themselves. At the end of the day the keys were handed to a very appreciative family of five.

“The 2014 Baja Challenge was our 7th year building for Project Mercy.  A huge thank you to our sponsors who donated over $4,500 to help a family in need.  We provided this family a home along with donations of blankets, food, clothing and supplies.  Our team was amazing!  We had volunteers of all levels contributing and working as a team to complete the house before 1pm.  Special thanks to Accel Framing for their expertise and equipment.  Looking forward to 2015.” – Jay Jackson

Thanks again to all of those who donated your time, money and hard work to make the 2014 Baja Challenge a true Success!
