As a sponsor of the San Diego State University’s Real Estate Society, it was an honor to have our President of Brokerage, Vince Provenzano, attend as guest speaker and mentor on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.
The Real Estate Society delivers a complete spectrum of information, educational and networking opportunities to students. The goal of the Society is to expose their members to different job opportunities in the San Diego Real Estate market place. By providing them with all the necessary information, tools and resources, the Society hopes to help members successfully secure a lucrative position in their preferred field after graduating.
As an accomplished Senior Executive with more than 38 years of success across commercial real estate, development, and residential properties, Vince was delighted to share his knowledge, expertise and professional advice.
Vince Provenzano is known for his strong work ethic, drive, and authenticity. His approach while mentoring is to remain a steady source of guidance and backbone for young professionals. His enthusiastic view on the industry, although motivational, does not over shadow the honesty about all the hard work that goes into being successful. “Know what you want and ask for it. Don’t expect it to fall into your lap”, Vince explained, “always choose to carry on and push forward, despite roadblocks. The first few years will not be easy, and it is not the problems and obstacles we face that define us, but rather our reaction and response to those hurdles.”
At this point in Vince’s wildly successful career, he reveals he too still has a few professional goals he would like to accomplish. “The most important tool to staying driven and motived is to have a goal, a goal that excites you and keeps you moving forward.”
Vince intends to remain extremely involved in mentoring young professionals who are passionate and inspired by the Real Estate Industry, Commercial or Residential. He elucidated the importance of networking groups such as the Real Estate Society, mentors and consistent positive relationships.
Whether pursuing the Real Estate route or not, Vince hopes students walked away learning valuable tools to success. Most importantly he is optimistic that students will also learn to live by his favorite quote from Winston Churchill. “Never, never, never give up.” Set a goal, have patience and drive and go for it!
