Pima Medical Institute's San Marcos Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On June 28, 2018, Pima Medical Institute held a ribbon
cutting ceremony for their new 40,000 square-foot campus in San Marcos. The medical
school provides an alternative to four-year colleges for those who wish to
pursue a career in healthcare. Pima Medical Institute provides students with
quality medical career education ranging from certificate programs to online bachelor’s
degrees.
The new campus is within a multi-use community with a variety
of dining, entertainment and shopping, student housing and outdoor recreation
with 30 acres of parks and over a mile of urban trails.
Fred Freedman, PIMI's President & CEO recently
announced the “Pima Promise,” a merit-based scholarship program for high school
graduates of the San Marcos Unified School District. The new campus also offers
a respiratory therapy associate degree program as well as other certificate
programs.
Pacific Coast
Commercial’s President of Brokerage, Vince Provenzano, attended the ribbon
cutting event which was held on campus at 111 Campus Way. The ceremony included guest
speakers and hands-on demonstrations of the labs that emulate real-word medical
facilities.
The
institute has operated a campus in Chula Vista for 20 years, and currently there
are 18 locations throughout the County. In the next 7 years, there will be
2 million new jobs in healthcare.
